Crab Meat Recalled For Listeria

A voluntary recall was issued for minced crab meat packaged by Rome Packing Co., based in East Providence, Rhode Island. During a routine sampling, the company discovered that some of the products may have been contaminated with Listeria.

The products are distributed nationwide and the company is encouraging any patrons that purchased these products to return them to the store they purchased them from for a refund.

Upon discovering the Listeria, Rome Packing immediately made the recall aware to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and has been abiding by their policies. They are also initiating corrective actions to ensure the Listeria doesn’t contaminate any other products and is cleansed from the facility.
